Danielle grew up floating the clear rivers of the Pacific Northwest, where her lifelong connection to wild places began. She discovered desert rivers while in college and has since sought out rivers all over the world. Colorado has been her home since 2007.
With 14 years of non-profit leadership experience, Danielle has dedicated her career to investing in meaningful missions and supporting amazing teams. Joining Forever Our Rivers brings together Danielle’s deep love of the outdoors with her professional commitment to philanthropy. As Grants Program Lead, Danielle is delighted to build and sustain trusting relationships with grantees and seek out innovative projects that support strong connections, social and environmental justice and impactful values.
Danielle also believes conservation is essential for healing the human psyche. In the other half of her life she is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and the owner of Hidden Aspects Counseling, a private practice based in Crested Butte, Colorado. Her therapeutic work supports people navigate life; she specializes in outdoor trauma, psychedelics, outdoor-based therapy and somatic sexology.
